Apple Founder Steve Jobs Dies

Shocking news came a day after Apple released the iPhone 4S. One of the founders of Apple Inc, Steve Jobs, has reportedly died.

Quoted from the Washington Post, Thursday (06/10/2011), this news comes directly from Apple.

"We are very sorry to report that Steve Jobs had died today," the official Apple announcement.

Figure whose full name is Steven P. Jobs is a visionary who is able to present exalted because of the innovative gadgets and technology through Apple.

Some time later, Jobs was already leaving his work at Apple for treatment of pancreatic cancer which he suffered.

Yet it seemed to struggle the legendary world of IT that have stalled after the last breath on Wednesday when Palo Alto, Calif., United States at the age of 56 years.

BlackBerry TV Challenges the Apple and Google TV?

The power of Research In Motion (RIM) appears to be more complete with the presence of  this one  product. RIM reportedly makes the device called the BlackBerry TV which will also  nliven  the realm of  digital  TV.

RIM wanted to bring more content than through smartphones and internet tablets. Thus, digital TV devices that display the content on a larger screen to answer.

Although RIM has not confirmed its truth by itself, as quoted from Slashgear, Friday (15/07/2011), this device is touted to compete with Apple TV and Google TV.

But unlike Apple TV and Google TV that target domestic consumers, RIM's devices will be aimed at the enterprise. Citing internal sources who declined to be named RIM, BlackBerry TVs will use QNX software.

The features contained on the BlackBerry TV namely BlackBerry Presenter, namely accessory that allows BlackBerry smartphone users send their PowerPoint presentations wirelessly to the TV.

To date, there has been no more information about the detailed specifications BlackBerry TV. To be sure his presence would disturb plans Apple TV and Google TV.

Foxconn will Open the Own Apple Store

Foxconn - Factory assembly of the iPhone, iPod and iPad - plans to open its own shop in China. This store will be selling Apple products  they made.

Citing a report from Economic Daily News, Bloomberg reported that their stores will be opened by Cybermart International, a business unit of the parent company of Foxconn, Ho Hai Precision Industry. This report has also been confirmed by the Director of the International Cybermart Steve Chang.

Cybermart which currently runs 34 retail outlets in China claimed to have obtained permission to become an official reseller of Apple products since January this year. This partnership is perceived to be very beneficial to both.

Reported by Bloomberg, on Wednesday (07/13/2011), Apple products skyrocketed in popularity in China since Apple opened a store in Beijing in 2008. Cybermart who plans to open eight new stores this year, touted the potential to open more than 500 stores selling Apple products in China until next year.

Apple iPhone 5 Prediction

Latest generation of Apple's iPhone smartphone five allegedly release this year. Numerous rumors have circulated about what the iPhone 5. Recent rumors say the iPhone 5 will have a curved or concave screen.

The news was conveyed by the media in Taiwan-based DigiTimes citing sources involved. If this is true, pointed out there will be significant design changes in the iPhone 5 than previous generations.

Concave screen on the smartphone is not new. Google Smartphone Samsung Nexus S besutan which was widely circulated on the market first to adopt this kind of screen.

Apple Asking or Proposing Smaller SIM Card

Apple has proposed standardizing the SIM card which is smaller than that currently available. With the new standards are expected gadgets would be born with thinner.

A spokesman from the European Telecoms Standards Body (ETSI) has recognized the special desire of the manufacturer of the iPhone and iPad. It's just confirmed that the decision to legalize more mini SIM card which will not be coming in the near future.

"This process will certainly take some time, could be a year or even more. Especially if there is disagreement from other industry players," he said, quoted by Reuters on Wednesday (05/18/2011).

While the operator side, as the party that issued the SIM card, welcomed the enthusiasm for Apple to make a breakthrough in information and communications technology industry.

"We're pretty proud of what brought Apple to the ETSI to request a SIM card which is much smaller than the present buried in the iPhone 4 and iPad," said Anna Bouverot, Head of Mobile Servives Orange.

Apple's move was also judged to goals, let alone a number of mobile operators in mind would support the existence of more mini SIM card is.

Bouverot predicts, the first device that will instill the SIM card will come in early 2012.
